



GLASTONBURY RENAISSANCE FAIRE
(aka Coastal Muses)
Historical Demonstration Application
Waterfront Park, Toledo, Oregon
June 28 & 29, 2025
Costume:
Demonstrators are required to wear a Renaissance or Medieval costume. Glastonbury is set in 900-1585 AD. Your costume may be based on English folklore as well as Medieval and Elizabethan/Renaissance clothing of the time period. If visitors ask about your costume, you should be able to explain it. Weapons, if part of your costume or Demonstration, must be peace tied when outside of the Demonstration area. You are responsible to provide peace ties.
Booth:
If you have a booth in our Demonstration area, you must decorate it in the style of Medieval or Tudor England. No modern-looking signs (like plastic or neon) may be used. Please remember this is a small site and we cannot accommodate large booths. Please clearly mark your guy wires to reduce accidents.
Displays should be designed to withstand wind.
Application Deadline:
Acceptance is determined on a case-by-case basis. If we don’t have room for you at the Faire this year, we may have room for you either next year or the year after.
Set Up and Show Hours: The Faire is open from 10:00 am until 5:30 pm both days. The gate is open to the public for tickets at 9:45 am.
·Thursday after 5:00 p.m. and Friday set up time: 7:00 am until 8:00 p.m. There is no set up after 8 p.m. on Friday without prior arrangement with the director.
· Saturday set up time: 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. Vehicles are not allowed to remain on the Faire site and MUST be removed by 9:30 am.
· Booths may not be taken down or vehicles brought onto the Faire site until 5:45 pm, when the show is officially over.
On Site Camping:
Demonstrators may camp on-site, either in your Demonstration area, or in our “Vendors-n-Actors’ Camping Area” on Friday to Monday. Above ground fires are not permitted! Camping space is limited.
Indemnity and Hold Harmless Agreement:
All demonstrators hereby release Coastal Muses, and the City and Port of Toledo, from responsibility for any damage or loss to said demonstrator’s property or any personal injury which the demonstrator may sustain while participating at Glastonbury Renaissance Faire. Further, they agree to abide by the rules, policies, and guidelines contained in the application and information letters, and agree to indemnify, hold harmless, and defend any action against Coastal Muses at Glastonbury Renaissance Faire, Coastal Muses and volunteers, The Port of Toledo and the City of Toledo from and against all liability whatsoever arising from their
